AveriStar has a unique approach to patching and upgrades, first and foremost by identifying software or hardware upgrades that may correct baseline performance issues and service troubles. Software vendors do a great job of writing release notes for the hundreds of patches released every year, the problem is that most platform owners do not have the time to sift through all the documentation to get what they really need. Our engineers will not only take the guess work out of patching and upgrades, but will do so based on your entire VoIP network instead of just one network element.

Once an upgrade patch has been decided on, AveriStar will work with your engineering departments to plan when a major release should be executed and why you might want to consider upgrading. Many new features might come with a new release such as Call Center. For example, BroadWorks call center functionality in R-12 was nothing compared to R-14, which is nothing compared to R-17. If you are selling call center, you might want to upgrade right away to R-17 for the updated functionality, however, at the same time be prepared to understand what that upgrade will affect on other portions of the platform.
